Principal's Message

Dear HHS Community,

We are thrilled to welcome over 1,800 students this year to our campus for the 2016-17 school year. Our administration, faculty, and staff are ready to unveil the changes to technology, programming, and facilities that will assist our students in achieving their educational goals and setting them up for success after they graduate.
RCPS’s Learning Reimagined initiative is putting a laptop in each of our students’ hands this year allowing them to have one-on-one technology in the classroom and at home. This initiative will allow our students to get the experience they need to be able to succeed in a technology-driven world.

Our Academy for Performing and Visual Arts is in its fourth year. Over 250 talented young artists from around the county are involved in this specialty program. Our Dance majors are enthused about the expansion of our dance studio over the summer which gives them the room necessary to take the Dance program to the next level. Our Academy students are driven, talented, and motivated. The opportunity to be part of our Academy program will assist them in developing into lifelong learners and arts advocates. I hope that you will support our Arts program by attending the theatre productions, band, chorus, and dance concerts, and art exhibits offered throughout the school year. These events are listed on lower right-hand side of our home page and on the electronic sign on Highway 138.

In addition, we are proud of our exciting facility upgrades with a new turf field and world-class track, and the positive impact it will have on our extracurricular programs.

We hope that you will follow us on Twitter (@HHS_conyers) to stay updated on all the latest Patriot happenings.
